Abstract:
PURPOSE:To eliminate the use of a special switch for selection to simplify the arrangement of keys and to improve the operability by making use of the relation between the display state and the position of an input key and using the input key to select a card. CONSTITUTION:The main body 1 contains a dot matrix liquid crystal display device 2 and an input key 3. A case 4 has a card holder 5 for plural credit cards. A terminal 1a is formed at the side part of the main body 1 for connection to an external option device, i.e., a printer 9. The symbols of all cards are displayed on a list when the cards are selected, and the input key most approximate to the displayed symbol is operated to select automatically the corresponding card. In addition, the charge is displayed for the selected card along with the present charge. It is also possible to give inquiry whether a desired article can be purchased with the displayed amount of charge.
