Abstract:

PURPOSE: To complete a timepiece case which satisfies sufficiently strength, corrosion resistance and an external appearance by a small number of processes by using zinc containing aluminum and magnesium of a specified quantity, heating it to a prescribed temperature, and executing the forging.

CONSTITUTION: A desired timepiece case is manufactured by using zinc for forging, which contains 4% aluminum and 0.04% magnesium, heating it to a temperature of 150W250°C, and performing hot forging. In this way, a timepiece case which is free from a defect such as a blow-hole, etc., also has a high completion degree, and to which it is unnecessary to execute the surface finishing can be manufactured by one process.
