PURPOSE: To keep off a drop in braking force due to overcontrolling at a rough road, by discriminating a road surface rugged level, while decreasing degree of decompressing output sensitivity but increasing a degree of intensifying output sensitivity to some extent respectively, in case of an antiskid control device.
CONSTITUTION: On the basis of each signal out of speed sensors (a) and (b), acceleration in one or plural wheels are calculated at a control circuit (e), while each drive signal is outputted to solenoid actuators (c) and (d) for brake oil pressure control. At the control circuit (e), there are provided with a memory device (f) in which reference acceleration to be conformed to those of road surface ruggedness, a discrimination period and a criterion value are stored in memory, a first comparator device (g) comparing the calculated wheel acceleration with the reference value, a count device (h) counting the frequency passed by the wheel acceleration within the discrimination period and a second comparator device (i) comparing the counting value with the last criterion value by the count device (h). With this constitution, a road rugged level is discriminated, and control sensitivity is changed according to the road rugged level whereby a drop in braking force due to overcontrolling at a rough road is prevented from occurring.
