PURPOSE: To obtain a color photographic sensitive material giving satisfactory image density at a high developing speed by incorporating a specified 3-pyrazolidinone compound as an electron transferring agent.
CONSTITUTION: A 3-pyrazolidinone compound represented by formula I (where R1 is H or a hydrolyzable group, each of X and Y is H, OH or OR2, and R2 is a hydrolyzable group), e.g., a compound represented by formula II is incorporated as an electron transferring agent into a color photographic sensitive material contg. at least one kind of dye image forming compound and at least one kind of photosensitive silver halide emulsion. The resulting sensitive material can give satisfactory image density at a high developing speed. The electron transferring agent has high stability and causes hardly fog when the sensitive material is prepd. and stored.
