Title:
DEVELOPING POWDER FOR HIGH-FREQUENCY HEAT FIXING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5817453
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a toner capable of fixing a toner image with low energy, excellent in physical and chemical characteristics, such as triboelectric property and resistance to agglomeration, and adapted to high-frequency heat fixing.

CONSTITUTION: When a crystalline compound having ≤1,000mol.wt. and 60W 110°C m.p. is incorporated into the binder resin of a toner by ≥20% and a quantity of energy reaches the minimum level necessary to melt the toner, it melts rapidly, adhesions between the toner particles and an image-preserving material, and among the particles with one another become sufficient, and the fixed image has lubricity or slipperiness, therefore, resistance to erasion even if its surface is rubbed, thus permitting the toner to exhibit excellent fixing performances. As said compound, palmitic, margaric, stearic, n-nonadecanoic, arachidic, n-heneicosanoic acid, etc. are embodied.
