PURPOSE: To improve the thrashing rate of unhulled rice grains in the device which hulls the unhulled rice while rotating a pair of thrashing rolls in opposite directions at a circumferential speed difference by providing splashing preventive plates projecting to an outer peripheral side in the lateral side end edges of the thrashing rolls.
CONSTITUTION: The splashing preventive plates 23 projecting to the outer peripheral side are mounted in the lateral side end edges of the thrashing rolls 3, 3 of a thrashing section 1 by bringing the plates into contact with the lateral outer side faces of the thrashing rolls 3. The thrashing rolls 3 and the splashing preventive plates 23 may rotate integrally or may not rotate integrally. The constitution to provide the splashing preventive plates 23 on both the lateral side faces of the one thrashing roll 3 or to provide one sheet each of the splashing preventive plates 23 on the lateral outer side faces of the respective thrashing rolls 3, 3 may be adopted to provide the splashing preventive plates 23 on the lateral outer side faces of the thrashing rolls 3. The escape of the unhulled rice grains to the lateral outer side of the thrashing rolls 3, 3 is prevented and the unhulled rice grains are securely supported if the splashing preventive plates 23 are previously disposed in both the lateral side ends of the thrashing rolls 3, 3 in such a manner. The thrashing rate is thus improved.
