PURPOSE: At least one selected from sodium chloride, sodium carbonate, sodium bicarbonate, sodium sulfate, sodium tripolyphosphate and sodium pyrophosphate is added to a zeolite slurry to increase its dispersion stability.
CONSTITUTION: A natural or synthetic zeolite of fine powder which has an average particle size of less than about 5μ and contains no particles of 10μ or more particle sizes is dispersed in water in 15W50wt% concentration to form a slurry. Then, at least one selected from sodium chloride, sodium carbonate, sodium bicarbonate, sodium sulfate, sodium tripolyphosphate, sodium pyrophosphate is added to the slurry in about 1W10wt% to form the objective zeolite slurry. The resultant slurry is free from the separation of zeolite by precipitation, even when it is stored for a long period of time by standing and is suitably used in the production of phosphorus-free or low phosphorus detergent.
