Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of a magnetic head caused by temperature or humidity, by providing a temperature or humidity sensor opposed to a recording medium, together with the magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:A temperature sensor 2 such as a thermistor is fixed by a resin 3 to a ceramic substrate 1 on which an erasing magnetic head 4, a recording and reproducing head 5, etc. are formed, the sensor 2 is opposed to a recording medium such as a magnetic disk together with heads 4, 5, and a rising temperature of the head 4, 5 caused by slide friction heat is detected by the sensor 2. As a result, feed of cold blast for cooling the heads 4, 5 is controlled. In the same way, dehumidification of the heads 4, 5 is controlled through humidity sensor. Accordingly, is is possible to prevent deterioration caused by temperature or humidity, of the head which moves relatively at a high speed together with the magnetic disk, etc.
