PURPOSE: To enable the easy, quick and exact analysis, by separating materials except water which react with a Karl-Fischer's reagent by utilizing the column of a gas chromatograph, then conducting the water and the materials which do not react with the reagent to an analysis device.
CONSTITUTION: Moisture is removed with a moisture removing filter 3 from the carrier gas introduced from a carrier gas introducing line 2, and while a sample (liquid, gas) injected from a sample introducing line 1 is forced into a gas chromatograph (sepn. tube) 4, the sample is introduced into the gas chromatograph. A filler which can separate the moisture contained in the sample and the materials which react with a Karl-Fischer's reagent is beforehand packed in the tube 4, and the gas except moisture is released from a discharging line 6 by the operation of a three-way cock 5. The moisture and the material which do not react with the Karl-Fischer's reagent are conducted to an analysis device 7 and the moisture is determined.
