PURPOSE: To make construction easy, heat-proofing treatment easy and operation easy by providing an arm supported freely movably on a turning body, and providing a nozzle support which supports the nozzle at the top end of the arm.
CONSTITUTION: A power cylinder 11 is operated to move upward an arm 28 and a long nozzle 42 is drawn from a tundish 2 in the case of exchanging the nozzle 42. An arm 28 is then swiveled and moved to be brought right above a nozzle rest, where the old nozzle 42 is inserted into the nozzle rest by the cylinder 11 and is thus transferred thereto. A support arm 41 is brought lower than a trunnion 44 and is disengaged, then the arm 28 is moved to position a support arm 41 opposite to the other nozzle rest, where the arm 28 is moved upward to engage a recess 45 with the trunnion 44 of the fresh nozzle 42 on the other nozzle rest. The arm 28 is moved upward to draw out the fresh nozzle 42 and is turned to insert the nozzle into the tundish 2.
