Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce an amount of dissolved oxygen in feed water extracted from one chamber of two chambers, into which a tank body is divided, and to prevent oxygen corrosion of a boiler and the like, by a method wherein the tank body is partitioned to form the two chambers a drop cover is caused to float on a surface of the water in the one chamber, and a steam nozzle is located at a gas area in the other chamber. CONSTITUTION:The interior of a tank body 1 is partioned into two chambers 12 and 13 by means of partition 2 having water holes 3 and air holes 4. Condensate from a T/G condenser, having a low amount of dissolved oxygen, is caused to flow in liquid in the chamber 12 through a piping 5, the condensate and feed water for tank heating, having a high amount of dissolved oxygen, are sprinkled to a gas area in the chamber 13 through a piping 7 by means of a nozzle 8. Furhter, steam through a nozzle 10 is injected to the gas area in the chamber 13 to prevent oxygen from dissolving in water. A drop cover 6 is caused to float on the surface of water in the chamber 12, and this prevents oxygen deaired in the chamber 13 from being dissolved in water. This cause water, having a low amount of dissolved oxygen, to be sucked through a feed water taking-out pipe 14, connected to the chamber 12, having a low amount of dissolved oxygen, with the aid of a feed water pump 11 to feed it to a pump and the like.
