PURPOSE: To enable cleaning with a simple construction without using a costly bias power source in a magnetic brush cleaning device by rotating a sleeve and fixing the magnet in the sleeve.

CONSTITUTION: A sleeve 13 is provided in proximity to the photosensitive surface 11 of a photosensitive drum 10. A magnet roll is provided in the sleeve 13. The sleeve 13 and the roll 14 are provided in a cleaner frame 16 and magnetic powder 15 is attracted to the peripheral surface of the sleeve 12 by the magnetic force of the magnet in the roll 14. An agitating roll 17 is provided in the frame 16 and rotates in an arrow direction to agitate the powder 15. Cleaning is made possible with the simple construction without using a costly bias power source according to such constitution.
