PURPOSE: To eliminate overflow of glass outside of a mold when shaping by a method wherein the shapes of male-female molds of a compression shaping mechanism are made to be cylindrical of the same shape while the tip of one mold is provided with the divided external shaping mold closely adhering to the peripheral shape of both molds.
CONSTITUTION: When a rotary table 11 rotates intermittently and a drag rotary head 10 comes to the heating and shaping position, a cope rotary head part 14, a spring 41 and gang bracket 32 go down all together through a cam-shaft 15, further the cam- shaft 15 goes down and before reaching its lowest point, also the cope head 13 of the cope rotary head part 14 and a cam piece 39 go down together, a cam roller 38 of a cam lever 35 acts on the high surface of the cam piece 39 through a ball supporting point 34 toward the center direction to make several divided shaping molds 37 at the lower end of the cam lever to hold the periphery part of the drag rotary head 10 closely adhering thereto and to bring softend glass 5 foward the inside of the mold. Further the cope rotary head 13 goes down to compress for shaping the softend glass 5 into the enclosed space between the drag surface and the divided shaping molds 37, by means of the cope surface.
