PURPOSE: To increase the moisture resistance of a nonaqueous solution battery, suppress increase in the resistance of the battery and decrease its self deterioration rate by absorbing the internal and the external moisture of the battery by packing Li metal in plural closed holes formed on the gasket.

CONSTITUTION: After a plural number of closed holes 4, 4' and 4" are formed on a gasket having a seat section 1, an outer raised section 2 and an inner raised section 3, Li metal is packed into the holes 4, 4' and 4". When the thus obtained gasket is used to seal the outer can and the sealing plate of a nonaqueous solution battery, its performance can be widely increased.
