PURPOSE: To calculate quickly the viscosity value at the prescribed temp. different from the data relating to the preliminarily detected temp. and viscosity value of a liquid to be measured by making calculation from said data.
CONSTITUTION: The viscosity and temp. of a liquid 1 to be measured are detected respectively by a viscosity detecting means 2 and a temp. detecting means 3. The temp. of the liquid 1 may be different from the prescribed temp. in this stage. A storage means 7 constituted of a semiconductor memory stores the proportional constant K obtd. by measuring preliminarily the viscosity η of the liquid having the same or similar compsn. as or to the compsn. of the liquid to be measured at several temps. T and expressing the relation between the logarithm of η and the inverse number of T by the equation I . An arithmetic means 6 calculates the viscosity value ηs at the separately predetermined temp. Ts by the equation II on the basis of the proportional constant K by the means 7. Here ηm is the viscosity value by an input means 5 and Tm is the temp. value by the means 5.
