PURPOSE: To enable the sure ending of a yarn with simple mechanism, by clamping the yarn end extracted from a package with yarn-clamping rolls, cutting the yarn at a specific position, and inserting the middle part of the yarn into the outlet pipe of a spinning unit.
CONSTITUTION: In the case of end breakage, the package P is lifted from the traversing drum 7 with the holding arm 8 to stop the spinning from said spindle. When the ending machine 10 has reached in front of the spindle, the reversible roller 14 is made to contact with the surface of the package P to effect the reverse rotation of the package. At the same time, the yarn end is sucked with the suction nozzle 36 contacted with the surface of the package P. Then, the nozzle is lowered, the suction is stopped, and the yarn is transferred to the second suction nozzle 41. The nozzle 41 to receive and suck the yarn is lowered to introduce the yarn through the yarn-shifting guide 20 and the yarn-holding roller 17 to the yarn-cutting means 31. The yarn cut with the cutting means 31 is held with the yarn-shifting guide 20 and the yarn-holding roller 17 and transferred to the outlet pipe of the spinning frame 1. At the same time, the yarn is passed between the pinch roller 5 and the draw-off roller 6, and drawn from the spinning unit by the aid of the rollers 5, 6.
