Abstract:
PURPOSE:To perform a lockup in time of closing accurately, by dropping a wheelded hatch panel down on a coaming at a closing position, while engaging the panel in one direction with an operating lever, and locking the panel toward a wedgelike hook installed in the coaming. CONSTITUTION:In case of a hatch cover with constitutes a wheeled panel 20 so as to be traveled on a coaming 21 for movement, a wheel dropping notches 25 and 26 are installed in a panel closing position on the coaming 21. A level 1 rotatively driven by a hydraulic cylinder 30 is installed in the hull, making it free of engagement with an arm being hung down from the panel 20, and the panel is engaged in a left direction as in illustration. A cleat of the panel 20 is pushed toward a wedgelike hook 40 and engaged with the top of the coaming, then locking takes place. With a simple mechanism by means of rotational drive of the lever, panel locking is performable and, what is more, this lockup can be done so accurately.
