PURPOSE: To improve developability and colored image stability, by incorporating a specified fluoran derivation and a phenol derivative.
CONSTITUTION: A recording material contains a fluoran derivative contg. a substd. or unsubstituted carbamoylarylamino group at the 2-position of the fluoran ring and an amine residue at the 6-position of said ring and a phenol derivative. This recording material consists of 1W2pts.wt. dye precursor contg. the fluoran derivative, 1W6pts.wt. phenol derivative, 0W30pts.wt. thermoplastic material, 0W15pts.wt. pigment, 1W15pts.wt. binder and 20W300pts.wt. dispersion medium. Examples of the fluoran derivatives are 2-0-carbamoylanilino-6-diethyl amino-fluoran and 2-P-N-ethyl-N-phenylaminocarbonylanilino-6-diethylaminofluoran.
