PURPOSE: To remove both drying and development processes and simplify the manufacturing process of a luminous screen by leaving behind a photosensitive section as a latent image.
CONSTITUTION: After a photoresist is applied, dried, and exposed, a luminous picture element is formed from on it while its development is being removed. Therefore, a phosphor slurry 8 with preset colors is applied while the photoresist 7 is being left behind over the whole inner surface. However, the exposed section 6 of the photoresist remains as a latent image. In addition, the non-exposed section 7 is removed simultaneously with a phosphor slurry coat in the development process of the luminous picture element. As a result, since the drying process 302 of the photoresist and its exposure process 304 can be removed, the manufacturing process of a luminous screen can remarkably be simplified.
