Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce sliding friction by forming one or more silver halide emulsion layers on a support and incorporating a specified liquid organopolysiloxane and its polymer in at least one of said layers.

CONSTITUTION: A silver halide photosensitive material is prepared by forming on a support, one or more silver halide emulsion layers, and at least one of the surface layers of them contains liquid organopolysiloxane or a polymer having siloxane units each represented by general formula I in which R is 1W20C optionally substd. alkyl, aryl, or cycloalkyl; A is a bivalent group; and B is active vinyl, epoxy, methanesulfonic acid, active halogen, active ester, aldehyde, acid halide, azolide, or the like.
