PURPOSE: To obtain a conveyor belt that can be prepared in a short time and in an excellent productivity without reduction in tensile strength at the adhesive area by thermally adhering the synthetic resin with which a braided material is impregnated in a unitary body with the synthetic resin comprising a cover through heating generated by the dielectric loss occurring between both adhesive surfaces.
CONSTITUTION: The belt body 1 comprises the core body 4 that impregnates the braided material 2 of polyester fiber with polyurethane resin 3 having a larger tangent of loss angle than the braided material 2 and the upper and lower surfaces of the core body 4 is coated with the cover 5 formed of the same polyurethane resin as the polurethane resin 3 with which the braided material 2 is impregnated. Joining surfaces 8, 9 are provided on the ends 6, 7 of the belt body 1 and coated with adhesive agent 10. The joining surface 8, 9 are brought into contact with each other, joining positions are mounted on the cradle 12 and when high frequency current is oscillated by the high frequency oscillating die 13 at the joining position 11, the joining position 11 are welded by heating generated by dielectric loss. In this manner the joining positions 11 themselves are heated internally, welded thermally by instantaneous melting of the adhesive agent and therefore an endless working can be conducted instantly by thermal welding.
