Title:
SEMICONDUCTOR INTEGRATED CIRCUIT DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6024665
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the number of pins connected to a semiconductor chip, so that the chip is made small-sized, by using one terminal of an integrated circuit for both a transfer of an interruption request signal and a transfer of a signal gengerated only when a CPU stops.

CONSTITUTION: An interrupting output (inversion IRQ output) terminal of each peripheral chip 5W7 is connected to an interrupting input (inversion IRQ input) terminal of a CPU1. Also, an inversion IRQ output terminal of a DMA controller 2 is used used for a transfer of an inversion DEND signal, as well. This terminal is connected to the inversion IRQ input terminal of the CPU1 through logical circuits 3b, 4a, and also connected to an inersion DEND signal line through logical circuits 3b, 4b. That is to say, when a function switching signal BA is "1", a signal of terminal inversion IRQ/inversion DEND of the DMA controller is transferred to the inversion DEND signal line, and when the function switching signal BA is "0", said signal is transferred to the inversion IRQ signal line. In this way, a chip can be made small-sized by using one terminal for other purpose than a transfer of the inversion IRQ signal.
