Title:
ADJUSTING DEVICE OF HEAD FOR MAGNETIC DISC
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6085411
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To adjust positional relations among the azimuth, the inclination, the track position, etc. of a magnetic head to a magnetic recording disc by providing an adjusting mechanism in a slide base which slides a carriage, which supports and fixes the magnetic head, in the radial direction of the magnetic disc.

CONSTITUTION: A reference disc 6a is rotated by a proper controller to input the output signal from a magnetic head 2 to a measuring system. While observing this measured result, various fine adjustments are performed. In the first fine adjustment, a track adjusting screw 17 is rotated slightly and is fixed to the position indicating a prescribed optimum value while observing the output waveform or the like of the measured result which indicates whether there is positional slippage between the outermost recording track of the reference disc 6a and the magnetic head 2 or not. In the second fine adjustment, an inclination adjusting screw 10 is rotated slightly and is fixed to the position, where the measured value indicates a prescribed maximum value, while observing the output waveform or the like of the measured result which indicates a degree of inclination of the magnetic head 2 to a magnetic face on the lower face of the reference disc 6a.
