Abstract:
PURPOSE:To remove the heat energy of a flywheel and improve its inertia effect by providing curved vent paths between disks of the flywheel, feeding the cooling gas in the radial direction, and blowing it out in the opposite direction to the rotating direction of a rotor. CONSTITUTION:A flywheel 13 comprised of multiple disks 14 is connected to the lower portion of a generator motor 1 through a hollow middle shaft 3, and the cooling gas is fed to the center hole 14a of disks 14 of the flywheel 13 through a partition wall 21 partitioning the oil in a lower bracket 19 provided on the inner periphery of a thrust collar 16. The cooling gas is further fed through vent paths 22 constituted with multiple curved separation pieces 23 in the peripheral direction between disks 14 from the inner peripheral side to the outer peripheral side of the disk 14, i.e., in the radial direction as shown by an arrow B and is blown out into the atmosphere outside the disks 14 in the opposite direction to the rotating direction of a rotor 2.
