Abstract:

PURPOSE: The titled repellent effective for repelling fiber noxious insects such as Tinea pellionella Linne, carpet moth, Attagenus megatoma Fabricus, etc., having extremely low toxicity to mammals, and high safety, containing a combination of camphor and dehydroacetic acid as an active ingredient.

CONSTITUTION: The titled repellent containing camphor and dehydroacetic acid in a weight ratio of (98:2)W(50:50). The combination of camphor and dehydroacetic acid as a synergist promotes extremely the insecticidal effect of camphor and can provide the repellent against fiber noxious insects especially having improved eating inhibitory action. The repellent is inexpensive, has improved durability of effect, and effective for repelling fiber noxious insects such as Tinea pellionella Linne, Tineola bisselliella Hummel, carpet moth, Attagenus megatoma Fabricus, Anthrenus verbasu Linne, etc.
