PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition having improved spraying characteristics and generating fine and soft mist with a non-fluorocarbon propellant without generating disagreeable blasting noise by compounding a fatty acid ester of glucose and/or alkylglucoside.
CONSTITUTION: A hair-spray composition containing a hair-fixing polymeric substance, a hair-dressing main agent such as an oil which is liquid at normal temperature and a non-fluorocarbon propellant such as LPG and dimethyl ether is compounded with 0.05-3wt.% (preferably 0.1-1wt.%) of a fatty acid ester of glucose and/or an alkylglucoside having 1-4C alkyl group. The glucose fatty acid ester preferably contains ≥50wt.% (especially ≥95wt.%) of monoester and ≤1wt.% (especially ≤0.5wt.%) of triester and higher polyester. The monoester is produced preferably by ester synthesis with a heat-resistant lipase.
