Abstract:
PURPOSE:To quicken the flow speed in the rear cylinder by leading a cooling water return pipe out to the bottom formed between cylinders of a water-cooled V-type engine designed for a motorcycle, etc., in such a way as facing to a single side, and by connecting this return pipe to a thermostat situated ahead the engine through a communication pipe stretching in the direction fore and aft. CONSTITUTION:At the bottom formed between a front 101 and a rear 102 cylinder of a water-cooled V-type engine 1 designed for a motorcycle, with V shape at the side view and the crank shaft being laid horizontally, cooling water return pipes 26, 28 for each cylinder are led out parallelly in such a way as apart fore and aft from each other and facing to a single side. These return pipes 26, 28 are connected with a communication pipe 30, stretching in the direction fore and aft of the engine, through connection pipes 31, 32, and this communication pipe 30 is led to the radiator 15 through a hose 34 and a thermostat 33 installed ahead the engine.
