Abstract:
PURPOSE:To estimate a fault source of a device including a sensor from direct/ indirect effecting relation by giving the direct/indirect effecting relation between two devices and applying matrix operation so as to obtain the direct/indirect effecting relation among all devices. CONSTITUTION:If sensors 51, 52, 55 are faulty and others are normal. The direction opposite to the arrow is traced from X9, X19 and X1 so as to obtain a common part of elements on the path thereby obtaining the X1. Then the X1 is unnominated from the faulty source candidacy because the maximum time (400) from the X1 to the elements X9, X19, X1 being faulty is larger than minimum time (300) up to the elements X15, X17 showing normalty and an X17 should be faulty if the X1 is the fault source. Similarly, the faulty source is retrieved so as to estimate the fault source of the device.
