PURPOSE: A dispersion of pearl agent having uniform crystal form, and stability at high and low temperature, containing a cationic surface active agent, a higher alcohol, and α-mono(methyl-branched alkyl) glyceryl ether or further a water-soluble high polymer compound.

CONSTITUTION: A dispersion of pearl agent containing (A) a cationic surface active agent [e.g., compound shown by the formula (1W2 of R1WR4 are 8W22C alkyl, etc., and the rest is 1W3C alkyl, benzyl, etc.; X is halogen, alkylsulfate group)], (B) a higher alcohol (12W26C), and (C) an α-mono(methyl-branched alkyl) glyceryl ether as essential components, having 1W40wt% total amounts of the three components, and a blending ratio of them in a range obtained by connecting a, b, and c (preferably a', b', and c') with straight lines in the triangular coordinate. The dispersion of pearl agent is less expensive than an existing one, has uniform particle diameters, and makes appearance of shampoo, toilet lotion beautiful.
