Abstract:
Compounds of formula: in which n is 2 to 9, U is a chain unit of the uronic acid type, G1 and G2 are chain units of respective formulae: R, R1 and R2 are H or SO3<->, M<+>, R' and R'' are SO3 M<+> or CH3-CO-, -O- is an oxygen bridge and M<+> is a metal cation, the said compounds additionally having the following characteristics: percentage of sulphur: 5% to 13.5% percentage of nitrogen: 1.8% to 2.5% percentage by weight of acetyl groups: 0% to 8% specific rotatory power in aqueous solution at 20 DEG C: [ alpha ]@ = +30 DEG to +70 DEG and process for their preparation.
