Abstract:
A signal bus (8) has distributed along it distributed video components (10, 12) such as teletext decoder and a video tape recorder. A TV monitor (26) has connected directly to it other video components (14, 16, 18) which are thus regarded as non-distributed. To interconnect the distributed and non-distributed components, the monitor includes a first switch unit (32) which selectively connects the bus (8) and non-distributed components (14-18) to a signal processor (28) and a second switch unit which selectively connects the non-distributed components to the bus. A driver (36) terminates the bus in its characteristic impedance (as illustrated by resister 40).
