PURPOSE: To prevent any possible injury of the foot, the shoe tip and so forth of a passenger on the rear seat by capping the terminal part thereof with a cover member.
CONSTITUTION: An upper rail bracket 1 is tightened to an upper rail 2 by caulking the bracket via a hole 3 as to cover the upper rail 2 and is bolted to a seat cushion base part 4 via a hole part 5 made on a the upper face of the bracket 1. A cover 13 has a projection part 10 and a closing part 11. The projection part 10 is inserted into the space 14a defined by the upper rail 2 and the inner face of a beat part 14 formed at the side rear part of the upper rail bracket 1 while the closing part 11 is caught by the terminal part 15 of the rail 2 to close it. The cover member 13 is thereby retained at the terminal part of the upper rail, hence preventing any possible injury of the foot, the shoe tip and so forth of a passenger on the rear seat.
