Title:
PAPER DISCHARGER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5992860
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable a paper discharger for a copier, a printer or the like to rapidly and securely discharge paper, by providing torsion springs to store turning forces for paper discharging rollers when the paper is pinched between the paper discharging roller and a backup roller of low circumferential velocity.

CONSTITUTION: Before the front edge of paper 25 passing through a fixation unit 15 is pinched between paper discharging rollers 12 and paper discharging pressure rollers 13 after the starting of the operation of a copier, the paper discharging rollers 12 and a fixation roller 16 are rotated so that the circumferential velocity of the paper discharging rollers is higher than that of the fixation roller. When the paper 25 is pinched between the rollers 12, 13 and present between a backup roller 17 and the rollers 12, the circumferential velocity of the rollers 12 is equal to that of the backup roller 17. At that time, since the rotational frequency of the paper discharging rollers 12 is lower than that of a paper discharging roller shaft 20, torsion springs 21 secured between the shaft and the paper discharging rollers are wound by the difference in the rotational frequency to store turning forces. When the rear edge of the paper 25 is separated from the fixation roller 16 at the end of the fixation on the paper, the paper discharging rollers 12 are driven by the springs 21 to rapidly discharge the paper 25 into a tray 10.
