Abstract:
PURPOSE:To simplify the installation of a metallic guide band and also to enable the truck to discriminate the discontinuation or the derailment of the guide band, by attaching a sensor containing a metal detecting element to the truck to secure the drive of the truck along the guide band set to the driving path. CONSTITUTION:A truck 3 reaches a discontinued part 11 of the band 1 and switches 8 set near a metal detection sensor 7 are all turned off. Then the presence of the part 11 is displayed. In case the truck 3 runs off the band 1, the switches 8 are shifted successively from one side to the other side and finally turned off. This state is displayed as a derailment case. Then the truck 3 is driven straight with discontinuation of the band 1 and then stopped with the derailment. For this purpose, the discontinuation and derailment cases are previously fed to a control program of an arithmetic device. This attains the intermittent installation of the band 1 and also improves the driving safety.
