PURPOSE: To prevent the elastic layer of a heat roll from damaging during peeling by extending a separating wire between both heat and pressure roll, and peel a form after fixation.

CONSTITUTION: The peeling wire 5 is extended between the pins 10 of the heat roll 1, and the intermediate part is fitted in an extremely thin groove formed in the heat-resistant elastic layer 1b. The groove is deep enough to reach the surface of a metallic core 1a and the wire 5 contacts the surface. When unfixed paper 4 moves as shown by an arrow (c) to between the roll 1 and pressure roll 3, the paper 4 is pressed against the roll 1 by the roll 3 to fix toner 6 thermally. The paper 4 exiting from a nip part is peeled by the wire 5, sent to a guide 7 at the exit side of the roll 1, and then discharged by a discharge roller 8.
