PURPOSE: To enable a simple device to control the injection of fuel, by providing a single electric control valve for a plurality of tubular passages extending from an injection pump to a plurality of injection nozzles and by connecting all passages to one another at the time of the opening of the control valve to finish the injection from the nozzle.
CONSTITUTION: When a control valve 1 is deenergized, a valve element 4 is in its closed position and fuel from a high-pressures injection pump 23 is sent under pressure to either of injection nozzles 24a, 24b. When the pressure of the fuel has exceeded a valve opening level, the fuel is injected from the nozzle 24a or 24b. When a computer has found out appropriate time for the end of the injection, a coil 6 is supplied with electricity to attract the valve element 4 onto a core 8 to connect both fuel passages 11a, 11b to each other through the horizontal hole 17 of the valve element and connect either of high-pressure injection pipes 25a, 25b to a relief passage 18. As a result, the fuel pressure acting to the injection nozzle 24a or 24b drops instantaneously, so that the injection is finished.
