PURPOSE: To permit the downward reversal position of a wiper blade to be varied in two stages by installing a turnable pin part for varying the locus of turn in two stages, onto a conversion mechanism which is equipped with a crank arm which converts the rotary movement of a motor to the reciprocative movement of a link rod.
CONSTITUTION: The revolution of a driving shaft 11 due to driving of a wiper motor is converted to the reciprocative movement of a link rod 10 through a crank arm 7 and a turnable pin part P4, and a wiper blade 30 is provided with sweeping operation. In such an apparatus, said turnable pin part P4 is constituted by incorporating in turnable ways, onto a crank pin 1 fixed at the outer edge of the crank arm 7, an eccentric bush 3 which is made of oil-immersed sintered metal and has an amount of eccentricity of ΔA and a lever 4 constituted of a steel plate for spring which is integrally formed with the bush 3 by a hook 4a. Said lever 4 is turned between the position shown in the figure in which a joint 15 is engaged into a hole 5 and the position is 180° turn in which the joint 15 is engaged into a hole 6, and thus the downward reversal position of the blade 30 can be varied in two stages L1 and L2.
