PURPOSE: To facilitate easy insertion of a record case and to prevent the intrusion of foreign matters into a record reproducer, by providing the 1st and 2nd covers to close the inserting port of the record case.
CONSTITUTION: A cover 3 is opened and closed by a driving mechanism, and a cover 9 is set inside the cover 3 and closes an inserting port 2 when the cover 3 opens. The cover 3 is supported turnably by guide members 4 and 5. When the cover 3 is opened, a guide surface 3a is exposed. The surface 3a contains auxiliary guide members 7 and 8, and record case is led to guide grooves 4a and 5a of the members 4 and 5. In this case, the cover 9 closes the port 2 to prevent the intrusion of foreign matters. However, the cover 9 never obstructs the insertion of the case since the cover is opened when the case is inserted.
