Title:
GASOLINE-RESISTANT POLYCARBONATE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS60163964
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a polycarbonate which has improved impact strength and excellent gasoline resistance and gives moldings which do not cause delamination, by adding a specified polyester.polyether block copolymer to a polycarbonate.

CONSTITUTION: A gasoline-resistant polycarbonate consists of 95W60pts.wt. polycarbonate (A) and 5W40pts.wt. polyester.polyether block copolymer (B) having an intrinsic viscosity η of 0.5W5dl/g, which is a block copolymer composed of 70W95wt% poly(oxyalkylene) glycol having an MW of 1×103W2×104 and polyethylene terephthalate in such a quantity that the combined quantity of components A and B is 100pts.wt. Moldings which are freed from the problem of thickness dependence of impact characteristics without lowering impact strength, do not cause delamination and have excellent gasoline resintance can be obtd.
