Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent an engine from stoppage in sudden braking by generating electric signal for reducing start pressure of clutch supply oil pressure to zero when the rotational speed of the engine is less than critical running speed. CONSTITUTION:In an apparatus wherein a clutch supply oil pressure regulated by a starting valve according to start regulating pressure produced from a start regulating valve in response to an electric signal applied to a force motor 224 and engine rotational speed signal oil pressure from a Pitot tube is guided, is provided an engine rotational speed sensor 301 the output of which is supplied to the input of a speed change control unit 300 together with the outputs of the other sensors. And when the engine rotational speed detected by the rotational speed sensor 301 is judged less than the critical rotational speed which may stop the engine, i.e. idle rotational speed, an electric signal for producing start regulating pressure which reduces the start pressure to zero is formed to be applied to the force motor 224.
