PURPOSE: To improve the operational safety at the cornering by arranging a ball joint in the second quadrant of the horizontal-vertical coordinate with the rear wheel center as reference as viewed from the left side of a body and rubber bushes in the third and fourth quadrants thereof.
CONSTITUTION: When a lateral force S works on the ground contact G, a clockwise rotary moment is generated around the axis L. Here, when the hardness of a rubber bush 2 is set smaller than that of a rubber bush 3, the front of the tire is displaced inward a greater deal than the rear thereof to obtain a toe-in effect. When a braking force B works on the ground contact G, the tire tends to toe in while rotating counterclockwise around the axis M just as it does when a braking force E works on the wheel center W. This rotation causes the tire to be displaced inward at the front and outward at the rear depending on the tilting direction of the bushes 2 and 3 eventually toeing in. When a starting force K works on the center W, the tire tends to toe out. But, if a stopper is provided on either the bush 2 or 3 to check the clockwise rotation around the axis M, the tire is caused to toe in.
