Abstract:
PURPOSE:To always keep constant a bearing gap regardless of thermal expansion in a component by providing a bearing support frame in a bearing support device of a water-wheel generator, which comprises inner and outer support frames, which are united in such a manner that the frames are placed under peripheral restraint and are released from diametrical restraint. CONSTITUTION:A bearing support frame 3a is adapted to retain a bearing 2 disposed on the periphery of a shaft collar 1a integral with a rotary shaft 1. The bearing support frame 3a, the base of which is fixed on a bracket 4, comprises an inner bearing support frame 3b positioned on the inner periphery side, and an outer bearing support frame 3c positioned on the outer periphery side. These support frames 3b, 3c are united in such a manner as to be placed under peripheral restraint and released from diametrical restraint. The coefficient of linear expansion of the inner bearing support frame 3b is larger than that of the shaft collar 1a. The support frame 3b is mounted in an oil tank 14. Thus, inward compression of the support frame 3a caused by thermal elongation of a bracket arm 4b can be eased so as to prevent compression force from acting upon the bearing 2.
