PURPOSE: To easily produce a molded article provided with characters, patterns or the like excellent in abrasion resistance on two or more surfaces thereof, by a method wherein a transfer sheet provided with a half cut or broken line form holes is pressed by a transfer pad provided with an elastic projection.
CONSTITUTION: The transfer sheet 1 provided with a colored layer 3 in the shape of characters, patterns or the like by using an ink containing a heat- transferrable dye and provided with a half cut 5 or broken line form holes 6 so that the colored layer 3 can be brought into close contact with two or more objective surfaces of a body onto which the images are to be transferred at the time of transfer printing, is fixed to the objective surfaces in a stretched condition. Then, by using the transfer pad 7 provided with the elastic projection having a curved surface at the tip thereof, the transfer sheet is pressed from the base sheet side, whereby the transfer sheet is bent at contact lines 8 of the objective surfaces, and is appropriately cut at the half cut part or the like. Then, a heat-dyeing treatment is conducted, whereby the dye is heat-transferred to dye the characters, symbols or the like on two or more surfaces.
