PURPOSE: To reduce trouble of carrying in copier by supporting an inversion guide member movably between first and second guide positions where a sheet is guided respectively to the first and second switchback sections.

CONSTITUTION: Upon feeding of paper 8 copied on face to sheet inverter 4 under both face copy mode, it is deflected through guide board 13 and feed-in roller 14 along the guide face 26a of inversion guide member 26 at first guide position to be carried to first switchback section 25 and upon separation of the end section 8x from the roller 14, said member 26 will rotate in the arrow direction C by 90° to second position. At the same time, said paper 8 is carried in the direction A through contact of drive roller 22 and driven roller 24 then carried in the direction H by the guide face 26a. This operation is also performed similarly at second switchback section 25a.
