Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the orientation properties of an axis C and increase the efficiency of vapor deposition, by keeping a masking shield that defines the incident angle at a high temperature when a magnetic layer is vapor-deposited on a moving substrate.
CONSTITUTION: A substrate 10 moves toward an arrow A, and an evaporating material 11 held in a container 16 is vapor-deposited to the substrate 10. The 1st and 2nd masks 12 and 13 define the incident angle of the steam in the case of the vapor deposition. The masks 12 and 13 are impacted by the heat electrons produced by filaments 14 and 15 and then heated to be kept at a high temperature.
