Abstract:
PURPOSE:To form a stable and small-sized structure by disposing two piezoelectric drive elements so that the displacing directions of the elements become in parallel, and mounting an operating rod which couples them, thereby eliminating a mechanically supporting mechanism. CONSTITUTION:Piezoelectric drive elements 9, 9' are disposed so that the displacing directions of the elements become in parallel, and an operating rod 11 is mounted by mounts 12, 12' which have elasticity to couple the two elements 9, 9'. When a voltage is applied to the elements 9, 9' to elongate or contract them in the prescribed displacing amounts, the rod 11 rotates the central points of the mounts 12, 12' at a fulcrum, and an actuator 13 displaces by F in the direction of (a). In this case, the mounts 12, 12' suitably elongate or contract by their elasticity. Thus, the rotating center of the rod 11 is automatically decided to the center of the mounts 12, 12' without necessity of a particular supporting mechanism or the like.
