PURPOSE: To weld a place which cannot be viewed, by installing a torch to a frame so as to be displaceable relatively, also installing a photodetecting part for obtaining an image of a tip part of the torch and a weld zone, installing the first filter just before the photodetecting part, and installing the second filter in the vicinity of the torch.
CONSTITUTION: A torch 50 is installed to a frame 20 so as to be displaceable relatively, and also a TV camera 71 for obtaining an image of a tip part of the torch 50 and a weld zone is installed. The first filter 72 and the second filter 73 are installed just before the TV camera 71 and in the vicinity of the torch 50, respectively. The torch 50 is moved in the right angle and horizontal direction to the frame 20 by a horizontal moving part 30 and in the upper and lower directions my a vertical moving part 40. In this way, a shift from a joint of a pipe A of the tip of the torch 50 is observed by a cathode-ray tube on the outside of the pipe A, and in case when it is shifted, the position of the torch 50 is corrected by the moving parts 30, 40.
