PURPOSE: To increase the film forming capacity by forming a photoconductive layer composed of a charge generating substance and a charge transferring substance made of polyester prepared from a specified diol component and a specified dicarboxylic acid component on an electrically conductive support.
CONSTITUTION: Polyester is synthesized from diol contg. ≥70% 2-dimethyl- amino-9,10-anthracenediol and dicarboxylic acid, chiefly α,ω-dicarboxylic acid, and it is used as a charge transferring substance. A charge generating substance such as triallylmethane dye, xanthene dye or thiazine dye is dispersed molecularly and uniformly in the charge transferring substance. The dispersion is applied to an electrically conductive support such as a metallic plate or a plastic film having a layer of a vapor-deposited metal to form a photoconductive layer. Thus, an electrophotographic receptor is obtd. The charge generating substance is added by 0.1W10wt% of the amount of the whole photoconductive layer, and the photoconductive layer is 3W100μm.
