Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the workability and maintenability of the titled device by a method wherein the periphery part of a flange of a flange assembling type thermostat is suspended with a U-shaped metal fitting having a retaining piece inner side thereof, and said metal fitting is fixed to a fittings which is secured to a car body. CONSTITUTION:A thermostat 1 is formed in T-shape, connected to each flange and a piping 2 in three directions. Because of the removing of a cooling water inlet side part at the time of a maintenance, two positions of a cooling water outlet are fixed to a car body side fittings 6 with U-shaped metal fittings 9 provided with a retaining piece 8 on one side thereof. Said U-shaped metal fitting 9 is formed by bending a beltlike steel in U-shape, and screws are provided on both ends thereof. A U-shaped part of said fitting 9 presses a flange, accordingly, the thermostat 1 is prevented from moving with plural retaining pieces 8 provided on one side of the U-shaped part.
