Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable to secure the supply of oil for the bearing upon emergency such as a power failure or the like by a method wherein an accumulator is connected to an oil supplying pipeline for the pad of the bearing through a valve, opened upon emergency such as the power failure or the like. CONSTITUTION:A rotary shaft 1 is supported by the pad 2 of the thrust bearing and the pad 3 of a guide bearing while high-pressure oil is supplied to respective bearing pads 2, 3 from oil distributing pipes 5, 6 through a cooler 8, a pump 4 and a non-return valve 12. The oil distributing pipes 5, 6 are connected with accumulators 10 through solenoid valves 11 respectively. Upon emergency such as the power failure or the like, the solenoid valves 11 are opened and the high- pressure oil in the accumulators 10 is supplied to the bearing pads 2, 3, therefore, the oil supply for the bearing pads 2, 3 may be maintained even when the pump 4 is stopped. Further, the high-pressure oil in the accumulators 10 will never flow to the side of the pump 4 by the function of the non-return valve 12.
